Researchers proposed that a viable supply chain (SC) is characterized by resiliency, sustainability, and agility of its network design. Resiliency is essential due to the disruption and demand fluctuations that are forced upon SCs, and these effects are still unknown to many managerial supply chains. In addition, as agility tools, applying novel technology in the supply chain, such as blockchain, Internet of Things (IoT), and artificial intelligence (AI), can assist and enable the transition to lean production. We, as researchers, should propose methods using a mathematical modeling approach to improve the current situation and mitigate the crisis. There is a great fluctuation of demand, and given that customers are preferentially shifting to e-commerce, many supply chains that do not use this business strategy are destined to fail. In addition to resiliency and agility, we should also consider the supply chain's sustainability and greenness regarding its network design or production planning. We should examine environmental, energy consumption, and social impacts in strategic, tactical, and operational decisions.

一个元素of viability is sustainability; therefore, we must consider the environmental impacts (carbon emissions, carbon trading, and waste management) and social impacts (welfare and employment) as pillars of sustainability in the supply chain. Applying renewable and clean energy is one strategy for increasing viability in supply chain management. Furthermore, the application of new technologies such as blockchain technology and running smart contracts require further studies to demonstrate the advantages of the latest technology and as drivers of antifragility.

This Research Topic investigates the management of resiliency and sustainability in supply chains. We are thus seeking contributions from authors presenting novel mathematical models toward ensuring resiliency, sustainability, and agility of supply chain management. Topics of interest include mathematical models and new concepts in this area:

• Application of new concepts, including viability (sustainability, resiliency, and agility), robustness, and antifragility in the supply chain network,
• Applying novel technologies such as renewable energy, blockchain, Internet-of-Things (IoT), and 3D printing in the supply chain
• Applying novel mathematical modeling, multi-attribute decision-making, multi-objective programming, heuristic, and meta-heuristic algorithms in supply chain management,
• Applying new analytics techniques such as; big data analytics, artificial neural networks, and machine learning tools in supply chain management.

Keywords: Resiliency, Sustainability, Antifragility, Supply Chain Network Design, Internet of Things, Artificial intelligence, Mathematical Models
