Reviews in Pediatric Renal Transplant will publish high-quality scholarly review papers on key topics in the understanding and clinical management of pediatric renal transplant. It aims to highlight recent advances in the field, whilst emphasizing important directions and new possibilities for future inquiries. We anticipate the research presented will promote discussion in the community that will translate to best practice applications in clinical, public health and policy settings.
The Reviews in Pediatric Renal Transplant collection welcomes full-length, mini or systematic review papers. New articles will be added to this collection as they are published.
Sub-themes for this Research Topic may include, but are not limited to:
• Cardiovascular disease risk and management after pediatric kidney transplant
• Role of immune surveillance (e.g. cell free DNA, protocol biopsies, DSA screening)
• Management of the failing/failed kidney transplant and issues in re-transplantation in pediatric and young adult patients
• Short and long-term malignancy risk after pediatric kidney transplant
• Increasing equity in pediatric kidney transplantation
